Rev. Raymond M. Jackson

AS WE CONTINUE ON WITH THIS MESSAGE, LET ME SAY ONCE AGAIN, GOD IS THE FINAL JUDGE, REGARDLESS OF WHAT ANYONE BELIEVES AND DESIRES TO HOLD ON TO. WE ARE LIVING IN AN HOUR WHEN GOD IS GOING TO REVEAL THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE SETTLED IT IN THEIR HEART’S TO WALK WITH HIM IN TRUTH AT ANY COST, SO LET US LAY ASIDE OUR TRADITIONAL IDEAS AND TEACHINGS, AND OPEN UP TO WHAT GOD DESIRES TO REVEAL TO US IN THESE CLOSING HOURS OF GENTILE TIME. HE HAS A MINISTRY ON THE SCENE THAT HE IS GOING TO WORK THROUGH; AND THAT MINISTRY WILL BE STANDING FOR THE REVEALED TRUTH IN THIS HOUR OF FINAL PREPARATION OF THE BRIDE OF JESUS CHRIST. NONE OF THESE HAND-ME-DOWN DENOMINATIONAL TRADITIONS WILL HAVE ANY PLACE IN THIS FINAL STAGE OF DRESSING UP IN PROPER ATTIRE FOR THE OCCASION WE ARE ALL LOOKING FORWARD TO.

We are dealing with subjects the Seventh Day Adventist people have stressed through the time; trying to straighten up some of the misunderstanding that has been so troubling to so many through the years. As we have already stated, they believe that when a person dies, and the body goes to the ground, the spirit goes back to God, but they do not believe there is any conscious part of that being that exists beyond that, and that the person does not know anything until the resurrection takes place, completely ignoring the words of Jesus that we have already used. They try to use all the scriptures where it says the dead know nothing, because there is no wisdom nor device in the grave, so on and so forth. They never consider what is written in the Psalms and the other scriptures concerning life beyond this present state. David, the Psalmist, when he could see by revelation that his Redeemer was going to be the answer to the sin problem of man and death, and everything, he prophesied, My soul shall rest in hope, for I know that thou will not leave my soul in hell. Do not believe those who would tell you there is no such thing as hell. There is! What David said in that Psalm should be enough, even if we did not have other scriptures to confirm it. He also said, (Psa 16:10) “For thou (God) wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One (Jesus) to see corruption.” We are not dealing with that part of it again, but to the Seventh Day Adventist, if there are any listening, and hear this tape, I am not preaching this to belittle a Seventh Day Adventist any more than a Methodist or Baptist or anyone else that does not see this in the scriptures. Neither am I standing here to belittle any individual because of what they have come out of, but I will say this, We are living in a day that God is calling a people out of every religious system there is on the face of this earth. Therefore if you have a hunger to know God in reality, you must get out of those places that have only traditional, hand-me-down ideas about God, because you will never get a true revelation from what they teach. There are thousands of people sitting there in the pews of those places today, just going through their rituals and ceremonies to fill out a program, but they have no more reality of God’s salvation than a wild rabbit. I say that with respect for all who have a sincere desire to walk with God. You might ask me, Bro. Jackson: why would you say such a thing? Simply because God does not give people salvation just to let them run wild with it. Did not Paul write in Hebrews, “For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth?” You everyone know he did, but we have a lot of religious minded people today, that do not know what the chastening of the Lord is. They do not have ears to hear what the Spirit speaks to hungry souls, and neither do they have spiritual senses to even feel anything. The end of that verse says He will chastize every true son. You will also find written there, that if ye be without chastisement, (He is talking about professing people that are supposed to have salvation.) then are you bastards and not sons. Church buildings are filled with people that have religion, but do not know the first thing about true salvation like the apostles of Christ had and preached about. I thank God for allowing me to be among those who do have that precious relationship with Him. Before very much longer, it will be verified by the scriptures, that God has put together an element of people who have true salvation; and that they know how to walk with Him in a true revelation of His word. When those who started out with the real thing in the first age of Christianity began to leave the scene in martyrdom as well as by natural death, Satan had his impersonators standing by to deceive the future generations and lead them astray concerning the true revelation taught by the apostles; and through the centuries of time, man, under the influence of ignorance allowed the devil to dictate what was acceptable and not acceptable, until what was supposed to be the gospel of Christ, became just a ritual to appease man’s consciousness as he felt the need to worship God. Therefore much of what is taught even today, is far from what the scriptures that are used was meant to portray. As you hear or read my words, you may be among those who would say, Oh Bro. Jackson, that is exactly what the Bible says about such and such. I just have to say, Yes, I know what the Bible says, but you take things completely out of context of the whole picture and make a religion out of your interpretation of it. You just simply cannot do that. God has ignored a lot of things up to now, but we are living in an hour of time when He is going to set everything in order, the way the Bible means for it to be interpreted. The Bible says this, There is only one name under heaven given whereby we must be saved, and that is Jesus Christ. Turn to Acts 4, and let us read it. Verse 10 “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” That should be plain enough for anyone who accepts this Bible as the inspired word of God. Go with me now, to the book of Jeremiah.

LOOKING FAR INTO THE FUTURE

We are going to begin reading in the 31st verse of chapter 31, in Jeremiah. Since the title of my subject is, “What Do the Scriptures Say?” I will use a sub title, “I Will Make a New Covenant.” That is not my words: God said it. Jeremiah was a prophet during the time the Law, which was the old covenant, was still in effect. He was a prophet that was given the inspiration to look down through time and see that there would be a day come, when the old Law of Exodus 20 would no longer be a means that God would use to secure salvation to the human soul. Do not question me concerning Matthew 5:17, because you must remember this, you have to keep every scripture balanced with the body of scriptures: You just simply cannot take any one scripture and go to seed on it, because that is exactly when you go astray. God has hidden the true revelation in the body of the scriptures, so that no verse by itself can stand alone when it comes to His plan and purpose Jeremiah prophesied six hundred and some years before the advent of Christ, but there are some very important prophetic insights in his writings. We will begin our reading with the 31st verse, “Behold, the days come, (He is looking to the future.) saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant (a new covenant, Adventist hear this: a new covenant) with the house of Israel, (Notice now. ) and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; (The prophet is referring back to the old covenant, the Law of commandments.) which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord. But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, (after the Law age has run its course) I will put my law (This is a spiritual side of His law.) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” With that in mind, we are going to deal strictly with the law of commandments in Exodus 20. There are ten commandments recorded there. They were given at a time when the world as a whole, was completely ignorant of the will of God. Society did not regard any particular day at all as a holy day. They were pagan. Much of the world is still that way today. Nevertheless God chose a little element of people that had greatly multiplied down in Egyptian bondage. By the time that came, time had advanced to around 1490 B.C., meaning before the advent of Christ. There was reason that God chose that particular time. However I will not bring the moon into this because it was a shadow. When John was made to look up into heaven and see a great and marvelous picture, he saw a woman clothed in the sun, and the moon was under her feet. She was also crowned with a crown of twelve stars. Anyone knows the moon is none other than a reflection from the sun. That was an entire historical dimensional picture of Israel from the time she came from Egyptian bondage until she had come through time into the Millennium. Although Israel as a nation has rejected the Lord Jesus Christ through these last two thousand years, their time is yet ahead. Just at the end of this Gentile Age, God will again visit Israel and give back the true meaning of the revelation of truth. All twelve tribes will be represented. Then when she goes into the Millennium age, and then into the eternal age, she will be there glorified and the twelve stars signify all twelve tribes of the children of Israel. I will say no more along that line. I want to say this as humbly as I know how, and as kindly as I know how. Adventist people: you have gone to seed on the Law: you mark your Bible with everything in the Old Testament, concerning the Law and the Sabbath and so forth, but remember, the apostle Paul, the man who wrote the greater part of the Epistles in the New Testament, was also a Jew. After his conversion, God took him into Arabia, and there in a cave God dealt with him supernaturally, and taught him the meaning of the Law, so that he knew exactly what the law had been pointing to all the time. He learned of the grace of God that was to be extended through the Lord Jesus Christ, to all who would accept it. When the apostle Paul came out of that desert experience, he began to see things that altogether confounded Peter and the others at first. Nevertheless God had called him to be the apostle to the Gentiles, that we Gentiles, who in ancient times were pagan, devil worshipers, observing no holy days or anything, might have full access to His grace and mercy. Gentiles had traditions, but none of those things are acceptable to God. When Paul began to go among the Gentiles and preach of the grace of God that was available through the Lord Jesus Christ, God made it possible for our ancient Gentile progenitors to be literally saved from their ignorant and sinful ways, even as we are yet today, and all by the grace of God. That is why, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call,” is so precious, because it is still in effect today the very same way. Through almost two thousand years of time, that has not changed: It is still God’s only plan of salvation for lost humanity; and it will remain the same until Gentile grace has ended and God turns His attention back to the Jews. Never, was anything mentioned to the Gentile people about keeping the Sabbath, observing a certain meat diet, or anything else that the Jewish people kept under the law. When Paul began to preach salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Jews were fit to be tied. It sounded blasphemous to them until some of them began to get a revelation. Paul ran into many of those legalistic Jews in his day: Oh but they have to be circumcised, they have to do this and they have to do that. These were the things those know-it-all busy-bodies kept trouble stirred up with everywhere they went. When Paul was ministering among the Gentiles, those so-called Jews that liked to boast of their heritage and such, followed right behind him trying to exalt themselves. Keep in mind, that there were many Jews converted to the Gentile body of believers in those days, but they always seemed to bring in slanderous things they could throw at Paul, mostly about the Law. That is why Paul wrote a lot of the epistles like He did: It took that to give those new converts to Christianity a solid foundation to stand on when gainsayers would come around with their do’s and do not’s. I am going to refer to many of these as we go along, but right now I am trying to lay an open foundation for the points that we will bring out. You are not saved today, by keeping a holy day, or anything else but faith in what the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished at Calvary, when He willingly laid down His own life at the hands of a cruel mob, to pay our inherited sin debt. You are saved by the grace of God, through an act of faith in His provision for our redemption from Satan’s bondage. Therefore when our faith reaches out to Him through that provision, eternal life is imputed to us. That is the one and only provision for lost sinners in this Gentile age, because, until God brings conviction upon a lost person, that person does not just change his or her mind and decide to receive eternal life. Individually, we do not set the day of our salvation until God first places us under conviction, causing us to realize our helpless and lost condition. When He does put you under conviction, you can go to bed and not be able sleep. Regardless of what you try to do to get your mind off of it, you still have that gnawing sensation inside that you cannot get free from. You can go to New York and take the most interesting tour they have available, but you just have to turn right around and come back home, because you are trying to run from God and there is no place you can go to get away from Him. When He deals with you like that, He puts within you the knowledge of the starting place in His plan of salvation, what to do to get your life right with Him; and when you finally surrender to Him all that gnawing and guilty feeling will leave you. As I have said before, I am not pointing the finger or accusing an Adventist person just to belittle them, but I will say to them, Your system will point their finger at Catholicism and say the Catholics are guilty of this and guilty of that, but they do not look at their own wrong teachings concerning things pertaining to God’s salvation plan for lost sinners. I have it all written down, and I got it all off of the internet, from your own source. Therefore as I say these things, it is not to belittle you as a person, but I hope to say something to make you open your eyes, unstop your ears, and let the Holy Spirit talk to you. As I have already stated, The apostle Paul wrote fourteen of the Epistles in the New Testament, and he being the apostle God chose to minister this great plan of salvation to the Gentiles of His day, I have to believe he knew what he was talking about when he instructed those assemblies on things pertaining to worship and proper Christian conduct.

A NEW TESTAMENT

We speak of an Old Testament and a New Testament, but I wonder how many people know what the word testament really means, as pertaining to the Bible? In this case, the word Testament speaks of a covenant. If the Old Testament contains God’s covenant of old, what does the New Testament contain? It is speaking of a new covenant. It has nothing in it about keeping the law of commandments of the old covenant, like don’t eat this, don’t eat that and such like. We can cover some of those things as we go along. They were all types of something new that was on the way. The Adventist people do not see types in the Old Testament, what the types were really pointing to. That is why I am saying, as we prepare to let the writings of the apostle Paul speak for themselves, If you profess to be a Christian, covered by the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed at Calvary, this is for you. When God came to us Gentiles, He led Peter, a Jew, to the house of Cornelius, a Greek that worshipped God. He was a proselyte to Judaism at the time. He had been fasting and praying and God gave him a vision. He was a man that had done the Jewish people a lot of good, but God saw in the heart of Cornelius a genuine desire to walk with Him, and even those of his household, though they were Gentiles. God had purposed to deal with them and show them mercy, so when He gave the vision to Peter as He did, actually Peter was led contrary to his personal feelings about going among Gentile people. He still had the old Law feeling in himself, but God led him in a way that enabled him to go contrary to his former will. Even when he got there, he had not been told in advance what to say. When he got into the house, look what Cornelius did. Being the pagan that he was, he fell prostrate before Peter to worship him. I say this for the benefit of the Catholics who think they have to fall prostrate before the pope, because God is not in anything like that. They say Peter was the first apostle. He was, but he was not a pope. Peter was a married man. His wife’s mother got sick and Jesus healed her. The Catholic pope and all the priesthood preach celibacy. That is not even mentioned in the Bible, so where do they get that idea from? That is a concoction of a manmade system of religion. It is also evident, after what you have seen the Catholic priests go through in the last few years here in America, and it is an indication to Catholics, Get out of that system. In just in a short time in Europe, those ten horns of Europe are going to confiscate all their property, their wealth, their art, and their investments in stocks and bonds. They are going to burn the material side of that system. It is the apostle Paul that began to lay down the teachings of what a Gentile is to observe; and it certainly does not obligate anyone to try to keep the Law of Moses.

WHAT JESUS SAID ABOUT THE LAW

At this time, I am going to ask you to open your Bibles to Matthew 5. Let us look at what Jesus said about the Law. We are going to see exactly what He meant, and what He did not mean. He knew the literal Law was given to point man to something better. In the 17th verse of Matthew 5,He said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.” When you fulfill something, you fulfill its intended objective. Why did God institute it in the first place? It was pointing to something that would come later, but in all the time it was still in effect, God required full obedience, observance or whatever. Another thing we need to realize, is that the prophets that came along and prophesied under the duration of the Law, were looking beyond the Law, looking to a new day and a new beginning, a time when God would deal with people on an altogether different basis. However those living under Judaism did not see that. They kept looking back at what Moses said, but Moses, but Moses, back to what is written in the Torah. They still do even today, accepting only what is recorded in the first five books of the Bible. I realize there may be some Jewish people listening, and I will never intentionally belittle you, because your blindness to the other scriptures has been allowed by the Creator, in order to give we Gentiles an opportunity to partake of the grace and mercy of God. He made the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ available to us Gentiles, only after your forefathers rejected it. However the same apostle Paul that wrote the Epistle to the Romans, also promised us Gentiles that the day will come when He (God) will return back to you Jewish people. He will do it through the two prophets of Revelation, chapter 11, and you can read it starting in chapter 7. God will open your eyes and you will see exactly what we Gentiles have been looking at for almost two thousand years. Yes, we are guilty of messing up a lot of things, but I will say this to you Jewish people, so did your ancestors mess up a lot about the Law. They substituted with manmade traditions and followed customs of their own makings. In the advent of Christ, none of them were in unity. The Sadducees believed one thing, the Pharisees another, and the Herodians were just politicians, so please do not look at Gentiles and condemn us lest we look right back at you and show you what we see. You hold on to the Torah because Moses wrote those five books of the Bible, but open up your eyes my Jewish friends and look at what your other prophets have said, because they were all prophesying during that period of time, looking ahead and pointing to something that was on the way. Well did Jesus say, Think not that I have come to destroy the Law or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. The Church of Christ will say, Christ was the end of the Law and the prophets, and they do not even believe in the regathering of the Jews. Neither do the Adventist believe in the regathering of the Jewish people. I know there might be some individuals with separate ideas, but I am going to read to you what one of your last teachers said. But to fulfill Jesus’ coming, He fulfilled every spiritual aspect of the Law that pointed to some kind of salvation that was accessible in that period of time. Keep in mind, the Jews of old did not have the Holy Ghost abiding in their hearts. The Holy Ghost abode inside the temple, in the Holy of Holies, and that Holy of Holies was a place where there was a little room separated by linen curtains. In there, was the ark of the covenant in which the Shekinah glory dwelt. God, the Holy Spirit, the Shekinah glory, dwelt among the people, but did not dwell inside of the individual Jewish person. He could move and anoint any person He wished to, at any time He pleased, but their salvation was based on obedience to the natural side of the Law. Please remember that. Their obedience or disobedience did not in any way detract anything from the types that were clearly set forth in the Law as time progress onward. When Jesus came, He fulfilled the Law as far as righteousness was concerned, meaning salvation. That was necessary, but the natural wording of “The Law” is still for the man of the world. Let me show you a type: I will just go back fifty years ago, back when they began to change our laws and take Christ out of the schools. They no longer allowed prayer in the schools. It was not long until, in place of prayer in the schools, and Bible reading in the schools, in came sex education. I would like to say to the politicians and educators of today, If you really want to change the perversion, the law breaking, the child molesting, and abuse of every sort that we have going on in the world today, then restore all of what we had sixty years ago before Satan was turned loose on our school children. Yes I know, you are too proud to do that, so our society will just have to pay the price as long as God sees fit to allow all of this foolishness. What you took out and destroyed, has been replaced with the devil’s garbage. You make your own laws, and your own laws are as worthless as last years corn stalks that have no life left in them, as far as producing anything worthwhile in the future. The more laws you make, the more the American society becomes disobedient to them. They blaspheme your laws, and all you can do about it, is just sit there and make another law. Then it will be broken also. I take that approach as a sign, that when mortal man has no divine law that he is knowledgeable of, there is nothing to compel him, or to guide him down the road of life. I can remember when the Christian people of America were the standard by which a society was guided: They projected a light of morality and spirituality. This was an influence to the society of America as a whole. When I grew up as a child, I remember how it was in those old farm homes. Some of those people never went to church, but when there was something of a divine nature discussed in public, I have heard many of those old tobacco chewing characters say, Well, I know what the Bible says about it. They were quick to remind you, the Bible says this, the law says that. I use that only as an illustration, because God made the ten commandments accessible for every mortal human, to enable them to discern between right and wrong, good and evil. Read them! Study them! They are there warning you of your carnality, and your sinful nature that will always do wrong unless checked by something. As long as that was applicable in the nation of Israel, The Shekinah glory of God was among them; and they still think it is, but what they do not realize, is that the day Jesus hung there on that old cross and gave up the ghost, God left their temple, the veil was destroyed. He was never to return to that place again, to dwell in the midst of Israel in that same way. From that time onward, He dwells only inside the individual person that surrenders to Him. Oh but Bro. Jackson, do you not believe He is going to be there in the temple in the Millennium? Not like before. I am not dumb, as to what this blessed old book says. He is not coming back in the form of the Shekinah glory like as of old: He is coming back in the form of the person of Jesus the Christ, who will then be King of kings and Lord of lords. He will sit in the temple and that sovereign Spirit (God) will be in Him, just as He (God) was when He (Jesus) walked on earth two thousand years ago. That temple will be an open place so the people can approach Him, worship Him, and honor Him. He will not sit behind fine linen curtains, as the ark of the covenant did. How many can see the point? When Jesus said He came to fulfill the Law, it meant He came to fulfill every spiritual aspect of that Law; and not to literally encourage anyone to still try to keep the letter of the Law of Moses. God presented to Israel a New Covenant, according to Jeremiah’s prophecy, but the leaders along with the general society of that day and hour rejected the only One who had the authority to consummate it. Those individuals who believed in the Savior that was preached among them, lived under, and received the benefits of the New Covenant, while all those who rejected Him totally separated themselves from God. That is where it stands. God did not change His perfect plan just because the majority rejected it. When Jesus died on the cross, all that animal sacrifice that God had required under the law, cease to have any meaning, because the perfect sacrifice had already been offered. His sacrificial death fulfilled everything those animal sacrifices had stood in the place of. God no longer accepts the blood of bulls and goats, turkeys, and ducks, and all of what He had accepted before the advent of Christ Jesus. None of that can atone for anything any more. His death ended every bloody sacrifice. That is why God prophesied through one of the prophets, that He would no longer be pleased in the sacrifice of the blood of bulls and goats, because through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the perfect sacrifice, all sin was paid for eternally for anyone who will acknowledge and accept that provision. Yes. The letter of the word is still there for the drunk, the murderer, the kidnapper, and all who tend to live apart from God, but this modern day society has taken or is in the process of trying to take them away from any public place where they were ever displayed; and the reason for that, is so carnal mankind can write their own laws. We had a better society when the ten commandments were hanging in the court houses, and in the school rooms across this great country. How many realize that? Our society back then, at least acknowledged that this is what God said, and not what some judge has decreed. I know these words will be read by people in all parts of the world, but please understand that my remarks to the American society are a rebuke for the way they have allowed a few God-hating individuals to come along and create a situation that has denied us what our forefathers fought and died to acquire for those who would take up residence in this land. It is a shame, to think that our politicians have fallen into such a satanic trap, and even more so, to realize there is no way they can turn back at this point. Judgment is just ahead. God has not and will not forget and forgive those who have been instruments in the plan of Satan to do all of this. I do not mean to bore you with what I am saying, but I do want to make sure I have given sufficient explanation of all we are dealing with in this message. Jesus did not come to do away with the natural aspect of the Law. It is still there for the sinful man, to advise him of his estrangement from the Creator, but the keeping of the letter of the Law is no longer accepted by God for salvation. The writer of the book of Acts made sure that everyone knew that salvation this side of Calvary comes only through faith in that which “Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified,” accomplished at Calvary, when He willingly laid down His own life to pay the sin debt for all who would believe and accept the provision. (Acts 4:12) “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” The apostle Paul stressed that over and over as he ministered to the various assemblies in his day. You can keep the commandments of the Law from your youth to the grave, but when your allotted days on earth are expired you will not have any more salvation than a stray dog that has ripped and torn and killed all his life.

LOOKING AT THE NEW COVENANT

At this time, I would like to open up the New Testament and read some of what is written for all to read. Let us see what the apostle Paul did actually say in these various passages. Let us first go into Galatians 3. I am not going to bore you with a lot of reading: I only want to read what it take to clarify certain points. I will say at this time, Hardly ever, will you hear an Adventist quoting the apostle Paul, because Paul is the one that tore their interpretation of the Law all to pieces, as far as its benefits in the salvation of a lost soul. Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness, to every one that believeth, that means exercising faith in God’s new provision. Therefore when we go to Galatians 3:10, Paul had a right to write this letter to the Galatians, because they had allowed certain know-it-all, supposed-to-be interpreters of the scriptures to come among them and create confusion concerning the keeping of the Law. Paul had established this assembly. He even testifies in here how that church started out under his teachings and ministry. They were on the right road, they believed the right things in the right way, but in his absence, here came some little character along, that was half Law and half Grace and turned the assembly into a lot of confusion. You cannot do that, teach that salvation is by part Law and part grace. It does not work. God will not honor it. Their situation there in Galatia, caused Paul to reach a point where he said this, (verse 10), “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: (You want to try to fulfill the Law and keep all the commandments and everything else, that is works. That is keeping traditions instead of obeying God. Why did Paul say you are under a curse? Is the Law itself a curse? Do not look at it that way. Let us read on a little more.) for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. (That comes from Deuteronomy 27 and Jeremiah 11, which pertained to those who supposedly professed to be keeping the Law, but were not keeping all of it. Those who try to win favor with God by keeping certain things of the Law in this age of grace, really fall under a curse, because they are trying to make their own way and expect God to accept them.) Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. Gal 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: (Paul was looking at that day when Jesus hung on the cross, and God was heaping upon Him the sins of the whole world. He bore my reproaches. Everything that the Law was applicable to up to that time, Jesus was the end to it. Therefore as Christ hung there that day, to become man’s salvation, so that he no longer has to be trying to keep the Law, (which he could never actually do) then God condemns the man that wants to keep holding on to that Law. There on the cross, was man’s sacrifice, provided by the grace and mercy of God, and the new law, or Covenant is going to be far better than man trying to keep something that his very nature rebels against.) For it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.” How plain does anything have to be? If you are going to be saved by it, then you will have to keep every aspect of it; and you ought to know you cannot do that, so you fall under a curse for even trying. When you have done that, it is not going to do you a dime’s bit of good, because Christ is the end of it for salvation. “But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.” I am glad that one day he knocked me down on the road and got my attention. I may sound like I am angry, but I am not angry, I am happy and glad. I admit I am angry at the devil, because of how he always wants to take a bunch of carnal minded people and stupify them, making them prisoners by perverting the scriptures. It makes you wish you were able to take the systems of religion that promotes these perversions of the scriptures and just blow all of them to pieces so the people who are held in bondage to them could be set free, but we all know we cannot do that, so we just leave all of that in the hands of God. He will call out of those places, all who are foreknown of Him, because no man is justified by the law in the sight of God. Paul said it is evident, because the just shall live by faith, from now on. “And the law is not of faith: (there is nothing in it) but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.” He is not going to say you are going to have salvation. No, but he is going to have religion. That is exactly what he has got. Now he approaches the real revelation he has, Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, (It was not cursed until Christ hung on the cross, but when Christ was placed on the cross, His death ended all that the Law pointed to, and God looks upon keeping the Law as a curse now. If you play with it, you are cursed, because you are still in your sins, in your ignorance, because God is not going to honor you anymore. Yes, Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,) being made a curse for us: (I am glad He took my place) for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” How wonderful, to think that God would show such mercy and undeserved favor to people who by nature, rebel against His law of righteousness. The Holy Ghost that true believers receive, is none other than the Spirit of the very Creator merged with the spirit of His only begotten Son, so that in one scripture we may find that we have the Spirit of Christ and in another one, the Spirit of God. That is because the Father and the Son are one, in that way. That does not make Jesus God, as some believe: It just simply means that God the Creator and Father, became incarnate in the flesh of His only begotten Son, so that when something was spoken from the mouth of Jesus, it was the WORD OF GOD, because He Himself said, (John 12:49) “For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, He gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. (John 12:50) And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”Jesus did have a mind of His own as pertaining to natural things, but anything pertaining to the spiritual, He only spoke what the Father dwelling in Him wanted said. He stood one day outside the beautiful temple that had been re-decorated by Herod, with the fabulous sums of money he spent to give the Jews something to look at and glory in. As Jesus came out, the disciples said, oh Master, Rabbi, look at the beauty of this place. We have a lot today that like beautiful buildings, stained glass windows, the apostle Peter on that one, the apostle Jude on that one. Do you know what I would rather do, I would rather sit on the roadside and watch the doves. If you are talking about art, that is all you are looking at. God is no more behind all that stained glass art than you sitting on the roadside watching doves flutter around. Oh Bro. Jackson, you make me so angry. Yes, and I can make you glad, if you will open your eyes. This book will talk to you, if you let it. There is a lot more that Paul said there, and that is why I say, The Adventist will hardly ever touch anything that Paul said about the Law. Let us go on over to Galatians 4, where Paul gives a little illustration that the Law was applicable to, effective for a certain period of time, (verse 1)”Now I say, That the heir (the beneficiary, the ones required to obey it) as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. (That means God.) Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage (He is a Jew, looking back at his past.) under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, (I like this, as the moon reaches its fulness on the 15th day of the month, the Law had come to its fulness in 1490 years, and it is time for the Son of Righteousness to rise with healing in His wings, and the moon passes on out. I am not trying to preach a calendar to you, but when the fulness of the Law had come, meaning it had been here for fourteen hundred and ninety some years, that is just the same as that moon you see coming up over the hills. It starts with a new moon, that is when the Law was new. The moon comes up each night, just a little fuller than last night. Well each century the Law became a little fuller. (Watch my illustration.) When the time came that God knew the Law had reached its extremity, because from there on it begins to go toward the fulness the other way. That is exactly why Paul, being a Jew, knew the Law, and knew it from all its types. That is why he could word it like this. But when the fulness of the time was come, the season when the fulness of the Law was come,) God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, (The conception took place while the Law was still applicable.) To redeem them (the believers, the observers) that were under the law, (the affects of it) that we might receive the adoption of sons.” Praise God! He came out of the Holy of Holies, and came into our hearts. That is why Jesus said, Tear this temple down, and I will raise it up in three days. It is all typed in the Bible, but because of the way people read it, they miss the point. He has sent forth His Son into our lives, that we do not have to look toward a building somewhere. That is why I have never felt led to glorify this building we worship in by decorating it in some special way. It is just a little concrete block building for people to come into, to worship God together. My Bible tells me, that ye (the true believers) are lively stones, built upon a holy foundation, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone. Therefore the building is not the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ: The concrete block building is just a place for the Church to meet in for worship. We (believers) are built upon the revelation of the prophets and the apostles. Ye (every one of you who are born of the Spirit of God) are lively stones. I do not come to a building to worship the god of the building: I come here because this is just a shelter house, a meeting place where we can all come in out of the outside elements and sit together. I want to see the grace of God, how it is expressed in you and me, so that is why I say, Lord help me to say this right, If we let the confused denominational system leaders put this house of God together, it will never be fit for a dog to live in. Why do you say that, Bro. Jackson? Because one will come along and take this stone off, saying, That don’t belong there, it belongs over here. Another will come along and say, Now wait a minute, that stone don’t belong there, it belongs over here, so the building would never get completed, with each person taking his stones off and going off over somewhere else and building himself a little dog pen, and saying, This is the house of God. The building is not the house of God, but it should be respected and cared for, because it is a designated place for the true House of God to meet in. How many understand my illustration? I am just trying to help each of you understand some of the things that have caused so much confusion in days past.

A BRIGHTER DAY AHEAD

The day is coming, when we (true believers) will all be one: We will all understand the word of God as He meant for it to be understood. I have said many times, When the prophet came to this age, he never built a religious system: he was against every one of them, yet many times he would preach like he loved every one of them. Being allowed to preach in those places, gave hungry souls a chance to go seeking something more than they already had. Most of us were in those systems of religion at one time, so we must keep in mind, that he (Bro. Branham) was a messenger to the Laodicean Age, and he gave us enough truth to get us out of those systems. If we had ears to hear, and a spirit to yield to God’s word, you would not have to hear the man very long before you would begin to say, I am getting out of here and going where I can hear a true revelation of God’s Word. Let me pick up verse 6, in the 4th chapter of Galatians, at this time, “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.” Praise God. God is my Father. With this in mind, let us turn to Galatians 5:1. I ask the question, Who was Paul writing to? The Galatian Christians. Something had them all disturbed, confused and in disarray. What did it? Here came one of those half Jew, half this and half something else, down the road looking for a place to preach. When they invited him in, what did he preach? Circumcision first of all, and don’t do this, don’t do that, still holding to the Law of Moses. Paul just shakes his head and says to them, You did run well, who did hinder you! You started out right, so what happened? You got off course. He had already said, in chapter 1, verse 6, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel,” so he then says in the 1st verse of the 5th chapter, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Meaning the Law, don’t do this, thou shalt not do that. When I say that, I know some people will say, Bro. Jackson, when you say that, you make it sound like you can go out here and kill someone if you want to. I beg your pardon: You are not even reading it right. Until the grace of God comes and does something in my heart that puts a love for Christ and His word of truth in there, if you make me angry, I am liable to do almost anything, but when the grace of God comes and points me to Jesus Christ my Savior, do you know what? All my outlook is completely new. When I know the Holy Spirit has come into my heart, my love for Him and for what He has done for me, makes me so I do not want to kill, kidnap or anything like that. Remember what Paul wrote in his Epistle to the Romans, verse 14 of chapter 2, “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves.” I no longer have to look over a door to be reminded not to kill or steal or blaspheme, because I am filled with a Spirit that guides me into righteousness. That applies to all, regardless of what we were by heritage or tradition, whether Jew or Gentile. How many realize that? When you have that Shekinah glory living inside of you, after awhile it is going to teach you the spiritual side of the word, and you are never going to want to use the Lord’s name in vain, because He becomes sacred to you, and you cherish His name instead of using it in vain, because of a revelation in your heart. That is why you do not have to be reminded every time you go out the door, Thou shalt not do this or that. Something inside, makes you into a person who does not want to do that which God would disapprove of. That is why He said, I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people. When something is in your heart, you do not need a law to remind you to do the right thing. Some people are slow to catch on and that gives the devil a chance to oppress and mislead them. How many can see the point I am trying to get across to every true believer? For some reason or other, some of those Galatians were bothered and confused over circumcision, so it had to be a situation where they were slow to understand, because we know the apostle Paul had taught them right. I want to use this, so Lord help me to say it the right way. (Chapter 5, verse 2) “Behold, I Paul say unto you, (He is talking to the Galatian Christians, which were Gentiles.) if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. (That means if you become circumcised just because under the Law, Jews were required to, and Gentiles were never required to unless they were converted to Judaism, the grace of God is not going to benefit you one bit. Well Bro. Jackson: Is it wrong to circumcise? I will not give the answer to that in the open assembly like this, but if you really want to know what it all pointed to, you come and talk to me as an individual, and I will tell you. I will not be giving you my own advice: I will give you what a Jewish rabbi told me. Circumcision has nothing to do with your salvation obtained through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.) For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. (In other words, if you start one thing like that, God will require you, if you were under the Law, to fulfill every bit of what the Law requires.) Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” That is why I say, No Adventist has genuine Holy Ghost salvation; He or she just has religion. Such a one is in just as bad a shape as a Buddhist, a Hindu, or anyone else that has not accepted the Lord Jesus Christ according to a true revelation, whether they be Catholic, Church of Christ, Jehovah Witness or whoever. All over this world, people have religion that they give allegiance to, but they do not have true salvation. There is something about the Holy Spirit, that when He comes into your heart, He does what Jesus said He would do: He will teach you all things. Now of course He does not teach you to look backward: you know that. He will bring to your remembrance all things, whatsoever I have told you, Jesus said. That simply means, that whatever is written in the Bible for our benefit, He reveals it to us. It is applicable, it is an understanding. Let us go to Colossians 2. Practically every epistle the apostle Paul wrote, he was writing it to help some Gentile that had been brought under Grace, somewhere when somebody comes along that is part Law and part this or that, then they get them sidetracked. Starting with verse 12, let us see what Paul says about baptism. That means immersing in water, not sprinkling. Why are we baptized? What is it for? What does it signify? “Buried with Him in baptism, (that is in the likeness of His death) wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, (talking about a Gentile that has never been circumcised) hath He quickened (made you alive spiritually) together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses; (That is all your past days, sin, disobedience, everything. Now notice here what He does with the Law, to the Grace person.) Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances (which was, Don’t do this, don’t do that, do this and do that) that was against us, which was contrary to us, (to our nature) and took it out of the way, (How did He do it? When Christ hung on the cross and died, the spiritual side of the Law was fulfilled in Him, and now from here on, it is a new covenant. The old covenant is still for the carnal, natural minded man, because He has to have something that reminds him that he is a sinner.) nailing it to His cross; (That is exactly what God is talking about here from the spiritual side of the Law, He nailed it to the cross.) And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. (Paul is satisfied. He is grateful for the revelation that God has given him. Saints: I like this, because this was not only good for Gentile Christians in his day, but it is good for you, as you sit here today.) Let no man therefore judge you (Come on Adventist, let no man therefore judge you.) in meat, (Don’t come sneaking around, asking, do you believe in eating pork. If you say yes, oh, you are contaminated, that is terrible, I don’t eat pork. You spiritually blind people: With an attitude like that, how in the world are you going to go somewhere in the world that they do not have available to them, the kind of diet you approve of and preach your doctrine to them? I have been where all they eat is raw fish and coconut, because that is all they have. Go to the central Pacific, where they do not have oranges, bananas, apples or peaches. It is raw fish and coconut. How in the world are you going to take what you believe to that kind of people? I ask you Saints, How many of you know what I am talking about? You just simply cannot go into an area and preach a gospel to them that they cannot possibly live up to. I was talking to a preacher years ago, that had gotten to the place where he believed every woman ought to come to church wearing shoes that fully covered their feet: they were to have no toes showing. I quickly said to him, When you take that kind of gospel into some of the territories I know of, you better be sure you take enough money with you to buy shoes for all of them to wear. If you go to India, hundreds of those poor women come bare footed to a meeting; they have no shoes. They all sit on the floor, or on the ground. The souls of their feet look like leather. A lot of people read this Bible and get all kinds of ideas about proper conduct and so forth, but most of the time such as that will not hold up under all conditions everywhere God would have the gospel preached. They usually say a lot of things they really know nothing about. I can hear some of those characters saying, That old Jackson, I bet he eats pork. Well yes, I like a little bacon once in awhile, even though I do not make a meal on it. I am saying all these things to let you see the carnal side of the human being in this world we live in. They take these natural things and carry them around as being so important; and the truth is, Most of their doctrine is just plain carnal and worthless in the plan of God. Therefore, let no man judge you in meat.) or in drink, (Oh, I bet you are a glutton, Bro. Jackson. How many times did you ever get drunk? I have never been drunk in my lifetime. I never have been drunk; and I did not need any law to tell me that I should not drink or get drunk, because something inside of me said that strong drink, if you drink too much, is going to make you woozy, dizzy and so forth. Well Bro. Jackson: Why do the Jews drink wine? I have never seen one come to the dining hall and drink a whole bottle. I have eaten where they eat; and you just do not see that. I say these things because we, being saved by grace through faith, apart from the Law of Moses, are not required to keep the Law, but that does not mean we turn right around and break all the natural commandments of the Law. We can still look back to the Law and see that God expects a certain quality in the lives of those He imparts grace to. What did Paul say about that? (Gal. 3:24) “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25, But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.” Do you see what I am trying to get you to see? I am saying all of this to help you see these things in the right light. As for eating pork and certain things, I talked to a Jewish rabbi in 1968, and because I had read an article in the Reader’s Digest, that few women in areas of the world where Islam or Judaism is taught, are ever bothered with female cancer, I asked why. Here, is his answer, He said, The diet leads to that fact. Neither of these religions believe in eating hog meat, and it is a proven fact, that too much of this fatty substance in hog meat can feed the negative conditions we may have in our body and lead to cancerous conditions, so those who abstain from it are less likely to have trouble with that kind of cancer. Saints: That is just plain common sense and has nothing to do with keeping the Law of Moses, if we limit our intake of certain kinds of food products. Not every human body is able to cope with certain things. That does not mean you take what I have said and make a law out of it. I am just informing you of certain facts. I will say this, If we cannot read what Paul wrote and use it wisely, with righteous principals, realizing that our body is a temple of the Spirit of God, then there is something wrong with our thinking, which indicates that the Holy Spirit is not speaking to us at all.) or in respect of an holy day, (This is getting deeper into the Law side of things.) or of the new moon, (In the Jewish Law, there were certain traditional holy days, so when that time came, you don’t do this, you don’t do that. You can read Leviticus, if you are interested in knowing all about the Law. If you do, just remember, That was for the Jewish race of people, before the advent of Christ. Paul was writing to you and me, Gentiles, saved by grace, saying, Do not let your life be taken up with all these observances, and do not let anyone come down the road judging you, condemning you, or allow them to hinder you, because that is not the standard. The standard is, Are you really a child of God? Has the grace of God changed your life? Is the Spirit of God dwelling in you? Notice the rest of that verse.) or of the Sabbath days.” The new moon is what they went by, in fulfilling certain feasts of the Law. That comes into the time they were to have a holy convocation, or convention, when they had to observe the moon. That goes with it. That is why Paul was saying all these things here in these verses. The point is, Let no man judge you in meats, or drinks, or holy days, or of the keeping the Sabbath. Well Bro. Jackson, don’t you believe that there is a Sabbath. I sure do. One of our Contenders got into Ohio, where the Adventist have a big publishing place, so I have envelopes full of their literature where they were hitting the Catholics right and left, because they say the Catholics are the ones that put Sunday in as the day Christians should worship. I repudiate that to the Adventist people. You do not even know exactly what the Law said. I am going to remind you of it. They did not start Sunday, the first day of the week, as the worship day. That was started by early Christians, that got it by divine revelation. It is in the Bible. My Advent friends, you do not read the types, you only read the written side of everything, so listen, as I finish this part. Paul says, “Which are a shadow of things to come; (What is a shadow? It is a profile of something that you are coming close to, because it has got to show there is a greater light behind you, or about you, which is casting the shadow. That goes to show that the advent of Christ changed all of that which was showing mankind what was ahead. All those things that were in there as shadows, cease to have the same effect when that which was approaching arrives on the scene. Thank God, we now have the revelation of what those types and shadows were pointing to. The apostle Paul has made it so clear to all who will accept him for who he was, the apostle to the Gentiles. I pray that all of you understand my point.) but the body (not the building, the body) is of Christ.” Those who still look back to the Law, are blind to what the advent of Jesus Christ did for all mankind.

FACTS THAT REBUT CARNAL TRADITIONS

I am going to give you some data about the Adventists, not to belittle them or run them down, but to enlighten. Last Sunday, I read from some of the material I have, showing who started that movement, and how it was propagated through the years to come. I did not do that to belittle any person, any more than I would refer to the International Bible Students as being the starters of the Jehovah Witness to belittle them: I just endeavor to enlighten you on some of these systems that are contrary to present revelation. There always has to be a starter of anything you see in this world. In recent years, there was a man by the name of Herbert W. Armstrong that became highly acclaimed by some in the Adventist movement. He taught during his lifetime, and the older Adventist movement all believed in a trinity. Well, here they condemn the Catholics for putting in Sunday as the day to worship, saying that was wrong. Well the old ones believed in the same trinity the Catholics believe in. I am not pointing a finger at any individual, but in the later years, this Herbert W. Armstrong thought he had the revelation that he was the Elijah that was to come, to straighten up everything in the Church. He was preparing the way for Christ to come. I think it was about 1951 or 1952, somewhere along that time, he was speaking in Louisville, Kentucky. A cousin of my wife, and I went over there one night to hear him preach, and got some of his literature. I knew very little about the Bible back then, but when I began to read his literature, it caused a lot of questions in my mind. Later on, when I did go to hear Bro. William Branham, I just listened to him preach: I never asked him questions. As I listened to him, it would not be long until he would touch on something, and here would come a statement. That way, I could begin to see the picture coming together, and I got the answers I was seeking. In the teachings of Herbert W. Armstrong, he did away with the trinity and plainly taught that God was the Creator, the Eternal Spirit, and that He is not a man, but that He did send forth His Son, in which He (God) put Himself in. So it was God in Christ Jesus, His Son, fulfilling that side of the picture. However in his teaching, he laid down as present fact, every detail about the Law, that the believer of today had to keep. He had to keep the dietary law, he had to keep the Sabbath, so Saturday was the worship day. He also taught, that to worship on Sunday, becomes the mark of the beast. That is what he taught. With this in mind, I can begin to see how, in these last days, these systems, every last one of them, are beginning to move on to shaky ground. I do not say that because I think we are going to tear down all the systems: I know we are not. You can tear down all these carnal ideas that you might still be holding on to, thinking that somewhere there is a possibility, that there could be a little truth or reality in it. It has all got to go, because there is not a bit of reality in any of it for the true Christian. Having said that, I am now going to read verbatim what the man said.“The mark that identified a true Christian was his observance of the Sabbath, and the Old Testament holy days.” That is what he said, and he based it all on the fourth commandment. He said all of this, to be obedient to that, is just like a dog. A dog will come and roll over for his master to give him something to eat, making it appear, that when we keep all these things, if we look up, the Lord will honor us as one of His children. If you think I am reading it wrong, if you have a computer, you can go look it up for yourself. With this in mind, I just have to say, The Sabbath observance by the Christian is as useless as anything can possibly be, if you are doing it thinking it has anything to do with your salvation. The first day of the week is typed in Leviticus 23. We will read that later. Christ rose on the first day of the week. The Holy Ghost came on the day of Pentecost, on the first day of the week. It all pointed to a new beginning. Now let me give you a scripture that has long been misinterpreted, Revelation 3:14. It plainly tells you in the later part of the verse, that Christ is the beginning of the creation of God. Do not take that verse back fifty million years ago: Jesus the Christ, is not the beginning of the old natural creation. Do you understand that? He is the beginning of the new creation, because He is the firstborn, the first one from the dead. Do you see the picture? He is going to come again, to rule and reign on earth for a Millennium: That is the earth’s Sabbath. The fact that He rose from the dead on the first day of the week, sets another rest day, because all these other things were the types fulfilling the old order. The eighth day is eternity itself, which is world, (Eph. 3:21)or age without end. It is all typed in the old creation, and now God is bringing it about in this present Age. With this in mind, I want to show you why the Adventist do not believe in the regathering of the nation of Israel as a whole. This Herbert W. Armstrong claims God gave him this by revelation. He said the nation of Israel has descended through the past two millennium, (two thousand years) and through their dispersion, (being scattered) they became the United States and Great Britain. Upon the death of King Solomon, the kingdom Israel split into two separate kingdoms. The kingdom of Judah consisted of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin and Levi remained loyal to Solomon’s son Rehoboam, with their capital at Jerusalem. The remaining ten tribes formed the separate kingdom of Israel under Jeroboam, an official in King Solomon’s administration. Their capital was in Samaria, the kingdom of Israel was conquered by the Assyrians and forced to move to what is now modern Turkey. Eventually they migrated through the Caucasus Mountains to the Ukraine, eastern Europe, and eventually ended up in western Europe. Then he tells you who all these are, the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh ended up in the British Isles. From there the tribes of Manasseh migrated to North America and became the United States. Part of the tribe of Ephraim stayed put, but some of the tribe migrated to South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and other outposts of the British Empire. When Jacob, whose name God had changed to Israel was on his deathbed, he blessed the two sons of his favorite son Joseph. In his blessing he said, let my name be named on them. Therefore whenever you see a reference to Israel in a prophecy, it actually applies to the United States and the British Empire, because the name of Israel was given to Ephraim and Manasseh. In other words, our western nations of Europe and America today, are descendants of the ancient children of Israel through dispersion. That is some of what Armstrong taught. That is why they do not believe there is such a thing as an element of people that are still Jews that know their genealogical heritage, and that they will be re-gathered back into the land of their heritage. How many can understand that? This is not what we teach: It is what Herbert W. Armstrong taught. Thousands of people still believe that today. Do you know why? Because they do not have the Holy Spirit inside, to teach them the truth. They are just looking for religion. They want something in their mind ,that they can say, Well I believe the word of God. I will say to you, The ten northern tribes, though they are still scattered, some of them are slowly making their way back home. They are not the British Isles, they are not the people of America. Do you understand me? They are not down in Australia or New Zealand. Those ancient children of Israel have been scattered. God said in Deuteronomy, He would scatter them to the ends of the earth, but He still knows the genetic line of them and He will regather them back into the homeland in HIS time. He is doing that. I hope what I have said, by telling you some of the things they believe, lets you know and understand, I am not condemning those people any more than I would the Catholic, the Methodist, the Baptists and all the rest of denominational religion, if it were my purpose to condemn. The Methodists today, do not believe in the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ. Do you know what they believe? They say, that Peter says the heavens will be on fire, and will melt with fervent heat, the earth is going to burn, we are all going to heaven, and so will we forever be with the Lord. I have to say, When people start doing the Bible that way, they have taken things out of context, they believe what they want, then they argue with you if you preach the truth. They do not see anything beyond their traditional beliefs.

FURTHER PROOF THAT THE LAW AGE IS PAST

As for the things I have been pointing out in this message, I am not saying anything just to make the Adventist person feel humiliated: I am only repudiating what their leaders have accused us of. I am thankful for the grace of God, and for what He has allowed me to see and recognize in my own life. When I think of all the denominations on the face of this earth today, and think how they at one time did have truth and the Spirit of God leading them, it is sad that all they have now, is just religion. Turn with me to 1st Timothy, the 1st chapter. Most Adventist people rarely look into the New Testament. They are afraid to look at what Paul wrote, so they constantly go back to the Law, in Leviticus and Exodus. I have got to give the reading of the particular scriptures, the honor of speaking for what Paul meant. So along with the thought we were on earlier, let us read here. Timothy was a young man that had been brought up under Paul’s ministry. Paul was in the later years of his life when he wrote this Epistle to him, so in verse 4, he says, “Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. Now the end of the commandment is charity (meaning love, He said the whole thing is wrapped up in love.) out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: From which some having swerved (They went off course.) have turned aside unto vain jangling; (just rambling on meaninglessly.) Desiring to be teachers of the law; (Paul has already said enough to let you know that the Law was dead, as far as for salvation.) understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; (Now he is referring to the natural man, those without Christ.) Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, (The law is not made for a man that has salvation, because that is what this righteousness is pointing to.) but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly (That is what we see out here in the world today, and that is why they took the ten commandments out of their sight: They do not want anything to remind them that God is looking at mortal man through a natural law that could at least discipline them and make a decent society out of them.) and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, (He is actually writing to you about the twentieth century society and onward.) for them that defile themselves with mankind, (which are those that love their homosexuality and see nothing wrong with their lifestyle) for menstealers, (kidnappers) for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; (or sound principals) According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.” That is why the Adventist will not touch what Paul said. If you take that and go with me to the book of Hebrews, you will find here, that he breaks the Law down. As we have read out of the different epistles of Paul’s writings, and also from Jeremiah 31:31, God made a new covenant with the house of Israel, after those days, meaning after the Law has run its course. For the Law was a shadow of something better to come. That is exactly why the Law in its own hour, was a reflection of the Grace Age that was coming on, and would be set in motion by the appearing and ministry of Christ. That is why in Revelation 12, John saw the woman (Israel) clothed in the sun, and the moon under her feet, meaning she had passed through the Law Age, (that the moon represented) and is seen later on. When she is crowned with a crown of twelve stars, that will be in the Millennium, when all of her tribes are reunited in that glorious age. The Law Age, which was a foreshadow of something yet better to come, is far behind her (Israel) when she is seen like that. The Law pointed to Grace, which was received through faith that Paul talks about in his epistles. The apostle Paul was a man that did not have to go to school any more to learn all about the Law. He knew it forward and backward. What did he say? As touching the Law, he said he was blameless. In Hebrews 8:7, we see this, “For if that first covenant (meaning the era of the Law) had been faultless, (or was perfect, so now Adventist: I ask you this, If the Law could have actually given you Holy Ghost salvation, there would have been no need for Jesus to come on the scene and die for the sins of lost mankind, but we see here as Paul writes, For if that first covenant, the era of the Law, had been faultless,) then should no place have been sought for the second. (There would have been no need to look for a better covenant.) For finding fault with them, (He is referring to how God looked upon the Jewish people.) he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, (He is quoting the prophet Jeremiah, in the 31st chapter.) when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: (That is speaking of it in its divided condition.) Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers (1500 years before then) in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; (out of bondage) because they continued not in my covenant, (the first one) and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. (In other words, He saw exactly how they broke it, they went contrary to it, and even on the Sabbath, many of the Jews absolutely got to the place where they could hardly wait until the sun went down, so they could go back to making their money. In the 10th verse, Paul goes to that second covenant Jeremiah speaks of in the 31st chapter.) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, (after that period of the Law has run its course) saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, (That is why I said earlier, We do not have to write the ten commandments over our door post, because, when the Holy Ghost dwells inside of us, He is there in our mind to cause us to do the right things, and abstain from the things that are displeasing in the eyes of our God. That is why we do not have to read it every morning, Thou shall not kill, thou shall not steal, thou shall not bear false witness, thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain and so forth, because there is a love for God in our heart and we purpose to walk with Him daily, in the way that pleases Him. You no longer want to do those things the old nature caused you to yield to. The devil would like to make you angry enough to cause you to yield, but if you are truly a born again child of God, you do not want any part of what the devil likes to see you partake of. When you have something in your heart, God does not have to keep reminding you, Now don’t forget this, that and the other, because you have His righteous ways in your spiritual mind.) and write them in their hearts: (He takes the spiritual side of the Law and puts it in your redeemed being, so instead of reminding you daily as you go out the door, You are always very sensitive to what His will and purpose is, even when you lay down to sleep. The Shekinah glory no longer dwells in a natural temple: it dwells inside the lively stones Peter spoke of, (1 Pet 2:5) “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” Do you see the beautiful picture?) and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.” The Jews of the Law could not understand how we filthy Gentiles could be saved out of all that rotten mess we were brought out of, and made to be partakers of the grace of God. To the natural Jew, the way he looked at coming through the Law, it looked like an impossibility. He could not fathom the grace of God. That is why he either had to have a revelation or he just closed his mind to the whole thing. When the apostle Paul wrote the letter to the Romans, that is why he could say in the 11th chapter, For we know that blindness, (spiritual blindness) because they could not understand, has happened to Israel in part until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in, so God has brought us in. As we look at the American society today, had the grace of God not come to our ancestors two thousand years ago, what you see out there today, would have been ten times worse. That is why we have nothing to boast or brag about, because it is the grace of God that has brought us down through the years and allowed us to live in the endtime, to be partakers of the grace and mercy that is by faith, and have that Shekinah glory dwelling in us. He has given us the new covenant, not the old. We know this though, Time is running out for Gentiles. The day is soon coming, when God sees that the last Gentile has come in, that He will close the door to our acknowledging anything. He will turn attention to those Jews that have been brought home. You Adventist that deny that the Jews will be brought home, open your eyes. It does no good to close your eyes to reality. As I told about Herbert W. Armstrong earlier, how he claimed that the British are this and the Americans are that, and so on and so forth. Well we are not descendants of any of the tribes of Israel. You can take my word for that. We are descendants of either Japheth or Ham, and a mixed up bunch of other things. To you who think we are the descendants of the ten tribes of Israel I just want to say, We absolutely are not. You would be surprised at the number of religions that interpret the Bible that way. The Church of Christ people look at the Old Testament and say, It has all been fulfilled, so they do not look for Jesus to come back to the Jews at all. On and on the denominational world has gone with first one wrong thought and then some other, which is spiritual ignorance: They are blind to the reality of the prophetic picture. I thank God, that He allowed we Gentiles, right here at the closing of the last age, to see the beauty and harmony of the scriptures. Let me finish reading this. “And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, (like the Jews did, talking about the Law,) and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that He saith, A new covenant, He hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.” No matter how you read Paul’s epistles, in the end you will have to admit, he makes it clear that the Law era is over. That day when Jesus hung on the cross and suddenly gave up the ghost, there was an earthquake heard. What does the scripture say? The veil of the temple, which was the fine linen curtain that separated where the ark of the covenant was, from the rest of the temple, was rent from top to bottom. No more, would the glory of God dwell in the ark of the covenant that sat in there behind that veil. When that was broken, that was God’s way of showing, from now on, my glory will no longer dwell in here. How many realize that? Let me say, and I realize this is a little bit off course, but a lot of Gentiles have the idea that one day the Jews are going to rebuild the temple, and again the glory of God is going to come down and dwell in that temple. No, it is not. Listen carefully. A lot of people do not know a thing about their Bible. They have a traditional thought in their mind; and that is the way they walk down the course of life, just holding on to that tradition. Some six hundred years before the advent of Christ, when Nebuchadnezzar’s army came and besieged Jerusalem, Ezekiel, a young prophet, who was of the priestly line, was taken along with those that were taken prisoners. He was taken to Babylon, along with many of the other young Jews. You can read his testimony in his own writing. After having been in Babylon for a period of time, God began to deal with Ezekiel, and he later began to set in writing the things God had dealt with him about. He plainly tells you, that the vision of the Lord, the glory of God, came upon him. He was still in Babylon as a captive, but in this vision, the Spirit of God lifted him up and took him, Where? Back to Jerusalem. He was sat down just outside a certain gate, looking Northward. What was this for, Bro. Jackson? God was going to show Ezekiel what had transpired before Jerusalem was ever sacked and lain in ruins. As Ezekiel watched, he suddenly saw the glory of God leave where the temple had been. (See Ezekiel 11:22-25) That was His Shekinah glory leaving there. Keep in mind, the temple was no longer standing: it was in a shambles and Ezekiel himself was in Babylon, being shown a vision. As he was brought back in the vision, he saw the whole thing as though it were still there. He saw the Shekinah glory of God come up from the temple and go eastward over the Mt. of Olives. The Shekinah glory ascended into heaven, never to return to the temple again, even though it would be rebuilt. It never did return any more. Do you know why? Even though years later, they had another temple built, which was still standing when Jesus came on the scene, the next time the Shekinah glory would appear in Israel, it would be in the person of His Christ, which the apostle Paul described as the chief cornerstone. That is a fact. Then when they crucified Him, what did He do after He arose from the dead? He was seen among many brethren, about five hundred of them, over a period of about forty days. Is that right? Some of the last words He said, was, Tarry in Jerusalem until ye be endued with power from on high. After giving the disciples those last instructions, what direction did He go? He left the city, went down across the valley of Kidron and climbed the Mt. of Olives. Then, right there where the Shekinah glory had ascended into heaven six hundred years before His advent, He suddenly began to be lifted up. There, the Shekinah glory was now living in the chief cornerstone. There He goes, into heaven, where He has remained ever since, interceding for all believers as the High Priest of our profession. When He comes again, He is not coming into a holy place. He will come as King of kings and Lord of lords, to sit in that temple, yes, but He will not be behind a veil of fine linen like the Shekinah Glory was in the first temple. Are you getting the picture? He will be sitting there as King of kings and Lord of lords. People of all nations that are left alive, once each year, they will make their way to Jerusalem to worship the King of kings, the Lord of Glory. I hope you understand my point.

CLARIFYING THINGS OF THE LAW

Go with me now. to chapter 10, verse 1, of this letter to the Hebrews. Paul, of all the Jewish apostles, was the only man that really took the Law and broke it down in simple terms, so let us read some more of this. He picked up the subject again, here in verse 1, saying, “For the law having a shadow (As I said earlier, a shadow is none other than a profile of something that is coming. A shadow is not the object itself. If you were walking down the road and the sun was at a certain angle, and you saw the profile of an object right in front of you, that profile may not be you at all, because if the sun is actually not shining behind you, (Are you listening?) You will not see your shadow in front of you. It has got to be behind you, to put your shadow in front of you. If there is another object standing beside, and the sun is at a certain angle, and you see a profile there, you will look up to see where that object is. The real thing is standing somewhere. That shadow has a contour of the very object itself. For the law having a shadow…) of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices (bulls, goats, turtle doves, pigeons, on and on) which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. (That proves, no sacrifice under the Law ever made the person perfect, (sinless). It only pushed his sin debt ahead one more year. The end of that year, he had to do the same thing all over again. It has been different ever since Christ came, the One who fulfillment all of what the Law required, as far as sacrifice for sin, because, for by one offering He has sanctified forever, them that have been set apart and sanctified in Him. You do not have to go back and keep repeating the thing year in and year out, year in and year out. How many understand now?) For then would they not have ceased to be offered? Because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. (It never did: It just pushed the debt ahead.) Wherefore when He cometh into the world, He saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: (It is a body for sacrifice that is much better than that of the bodies of bulls and goats and so forth.) In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when He said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offerings for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; (He was talking about the old Law) which are offered by the law; Then said He, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, (the old Law, everything in it pertaining to salvation) that He may establish the second. (I am so thankful, that two thousand years ago, Jesus hung on the cross giving His life for your and my sins. By one offering, He has perfected forever, them that really are in Him.) By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Now let me say something at this time, We have had evangelism through the many, many years of denominationalism. I actually believe many times, the reason a lot of people looked like they had given up and gone back on the Lord, was because they were not getting sufficient spiritual food in those systems of religion to sustain them. It is one thing to have St. John 3:16 read to you every worship day; and to have St. John 5:24, but if that is all you ever hear, you can starve to death, spiritually speaking. You have no knowledge of anything that can give you an inward feeling of peace. When you are left ignorant and unlearned, you do not know how to relate yourself to situations and trials and tests that come upon you. You do not know how to talk back to the devil when he oppresses you, because you are ignorant of what we really have in Christ Jesus. When the Holy Spirit is inside you, and you are being given something from the word of God that really is bread, you have something to sustain your soul, sharpen your knowledge, and fortify you for his assault. It gives you a joy, a determination and will to press on. I grant you, there can come days when you feel depressed and discouraged because of the oppression of the devil, but there is something inside of you that can make you say, I know that out in front of me there will be a better day, a day when the sun will shine and this bond will be broken. “And every priest standeth daily (talking about the Law) ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. (Adventist: read it, for goodness sakes: Read what Paul wrote about this.) But this man, (He is talking about Christ.) after He had offered one sacrifice (His own life) for sins (ours, yours and mine) for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool.” And it could go on and on and on. The second covenant puts something inside you when the Holy Ghost, the Shekinah glory comes into your life, and He does not come in to leave you destitute and ignorant of the truth that goes with His presence. I just have to say, The reason Christendom has suffered so much, is because of ignorance, never being taught anything to liberate them. Christendom did not start out that way; and it is not going to end up that way. Every last one of us are going to have a knowledge of what the real truth is. With that knowledge and understanding, it is going to give you and me something to fight the devil with. Think how many times the evangelists of the Methodists, the Church of God, the Pentecostal, this and that, have said, We had so many saved in this meeting. A year and half later, another evangelist comes along, and half of those same ones are back at the altar, supposedly getting saved all over again. Paul never taught that kind of salvation. I do not go for this thing so many of them preach, like saved today, lost tomorrow, saved again, lost the next year and so forth.

GETTING IT RIGHT

True, scriptural salvation is a one time experience. I will acknowledge to you, that there are many who become so weakened through the power of Satan hitting them over and over, and seemingly dominating them, that they become so weak and discouraged it looks like they have almost given up hope on anything, but somewhere ahead, there is something that keeps pulling them along. This idea that you can be born again one day and lost six months later is so contrary to reality, you have to wonder why so many fall for it, because you were never physically born but one time; and the scriptures teach that the spiritual birth is the same way. You will never truly be born again and filled with the Holy Ghost, (which constitutes the re-birth experience) but one time: God accepts us into His family only one time. In that, God can give you any kind of experience that suits His purpose. It is an assurance that lets you know you have been born again, and the Spirit of God is in your life. The devil can hit you and make you sick spiritually, and it may look like you are anything but alive in Christ, but once again God knows exactly the remedy for such a condition and puts something in your spirit that quickens you and brings you back to the reality that you are alive in Christ. That is why I am against all this silly born again yesterday, and a year later, have to be born all over again. That is traditional ignorance, based upon nothing but the lies and hypocrisy the devil has deceived so many with through the years. He has taken the word of God, twisted and perverted it and passed off a counterfeit salvation to multitudes. I just have to say, If religion is all you have, may God help you. You are like an old car in a junk yard: You can fix it up and it may run about a year and a half, but then it has to go back into the shop again. I only use that as an illustration. When you have nothing but religion, you need an overhaul every once in awhile to keep you going on. You are just being repaired for another year and a half of putting up with nothing but religion. Do you understand my point? That is why Paul could talk like he did, and that is why I say, The Adventist movement, the Jehovah Witness, the Church of Christ and others, do not know any more about the word of God than a baboon in the jungle. I just say to them, You have a lot of people following your various teachings, and they have religion, but they do not know how to live and walk with God in a true revelation. I respect people for whatever God has brought them out of, but if they are not in the truth, regardless of how much scripture they can quote, they just have religion, not true salvation. I have met my share of people that have been Jehovah Witness, Catholic, this or that. We have all been brought out of something, we were ignorant of truth, but God is merciful. All I know now, is by the grace of God: I was ignorant of true revelation in years past. In His time, God taught me something that is worth more than silver or gold in this life. It lets me know that truth is life. It is bread to your soul. When God gives you truth, it has a sustaining factor about it, and once you have it by revelation you feed on it. Well after saying all of that, I want to bring in a few more remarks concerning the Adventist line of teaching. In the Herbert W. Armstrong teachings, he taught that everyone had to keep the Sabbath. That is why I read this scripture in Colossians, what Paul said, Let no man therefore judge you in meats or drinks, in holy days or new moons or Sabbaths. For all of them are a shadow of better things to come. They had their definite meaning under the Law, but the Law age is in the past, never to be reinstated.

WHAT THE LAW SAYS

Let us go to Leviticus 23. We can see where early Christians really got their revelation. We will put this message in print, so I want to take it slow and be thorough, as we read this and make remarks. When God had given Israel the Law, He came along and gave them certain statutes to observe, which consisted of holy days and such like. In the 6th verse of the 23rd chapter, we read,“ And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.” Keep in mind, the fifteenth day, because we know that on the ending of the fourteenth day, as the sun was setting the moon was coming up and that was the starting of the fifteenth day. The state that the moon is in, shadows the Law. Jesus was to be crucified on that day. Do you follow me now? He was crucified on the one day, then on the next day, seven days follow that and there are seven consecutive days of unleavened bread. Adventist: you do not even see what that is for. Let me tell you, Jesus was crucified on the evening of this fourteenth day. As the sun goes down and the moon is coming up, you are entering another day, the fifteenth day, the night side of it. (Are you following me?) Therefore when the sunlight does come up on the fulness of the fifteenth day, it means the month is half gone, and Christ has been crucified. He laid dead and for seven days following that, there was to be unleavened bread. That typed this; that at the end of Christ’ advent and crucifixion, there was to be seven church ages, wherein the gospel of Jesus Christ is fed to us, unleavened, with man’s creeds, dogmas and traditions out of it. That is because each day, eating unleavened bread, points you back to the remembrance, in the natural, that on the evening of the fourteenth day the Passover Lamb was sacrificed. How many realize that? Not on the fifteenth day, on the closing part of the fourteenth day. When the sacrifice is eaten, (the lamb) then starting the next day, the fifteenth day, they observed what they called a holy convocation. What did that type? The Jews did not know. Imagine the Jewish people eating unleavened bread for seven days and not knowing what it pointed to. I realize there are a lot of Jewish people listening, so I say to them, Yes, I am a Gentile, but I know what your Law pointed to. When you sacrifice that lamb on the evening of the fourteenth day, as the new moon is coming up in its fulness, from then on the moon starts going the other way. How many realize that? So the next day, on the fifteenth day, they start eating unleavened bread. What does that do? It points you back to yesterday. What is the second day of unleavened bread? It points you back to day before yesterday. The third day, it keep pointing you back to the sacrifice. Now, as we bring it into the Grace Age, when Christ, God’s true Passover Lamb was sacrificed for the sins of the whole world, the Law age had come to its fulness, and since then, the gospel should have been preached and proclaimed around the world for seven church ages, unadulterated, free from man’s pollution. Look what carnal man has done with it. They have filled it with every kind of carnal leaven there is. That is exactly why it is written like this, (Verse 7), “In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, (Here comes another beautiful type.) then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: (That takes place in the spring of the year, when grain that has been sowed in the fall of the year has grown, and is ripe. The farmer goes out into that beautiful field of grain, cuts a swatch of that grain and binds it into a bundle. Adventist: This is a type. He brings it to the priests at the temple, so imagine, all over the land of Israel, here come the farmers with these bundles of grain, laying them there in the temple compound, to be burned and offered on a certain day, which sets another type. It is the firstfruits of the harvest. Is not Jesus the firstfruits from among the dead? Sure He is. Notice, when the priest is supposed to do this?) And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.” That shows Jesus laid dead all through the day of the Jewish Sabbath, and all through the night part of the first day of the week. He arose in the early daylight hours on the first day of the week, when that priest has gone to the temple to fulfill his priestly duties by building the fire and starting whatever the ritual he went through in offering these firstfruits. Early in the morning on the first day of the week, Martha and Mary came to the tomb. They brought certain spices and things because Jesus’ body had not been embalmed. He was laid in the tomb in haste. As they were approaching the tomb, they were thinking, I wonder who will roll the stone away? Then an angel of the Lord said, Why seek ye the living among the dead. He is not here, He is risen. He told them where to go to. John and Peter and some others came a little later. They got the same words. My point is, That unleavened bread in the natural, was to point the Jew back to the day they offered that sacrifice of Passover lamb. Then when the fullness of the Law has come, and Jesus, who fulfilled in reality, all that the lamb and animals, as far as sacrifice pointed to, He asked His disciples, Let us prepare to eat the Passover. They went and inquired, and obtained the premises of a certain building. There, He gathered with His disciples. There, He ate it with them. What the Law had been pointing to, here He was, God’s perfect sacrifice. When He took the wine and the bread, which was all part of the Jewish festivities, He instituted what we refer to as the Lord’s supper, which is only a symbol. From the time Jesus ascended into heaven, it plainly tells you here, the priest was to offer that sheaf offering, which was the firstfruits of their crop. Firstfruits of what? It was the natural harvest, but it pointed to the firstfruits from among the dead, which was Jesus Christ. That was to be done on the next day after the Sabbath in that season. That is why Jesus rose on the first day of the week. That is also the eighth day in order. Going back to Genesis, the first day, God said, Let there be light. Our denominational systems say, Oh yes, that was a day of twenty four hours. That is scriptural ignorance. Those creative days were not days of twenty four hours: They were days of generations, and covered years, years and years, from the first to the sixth. Each one of those creative days was one thousand years each. Listen carefully, and we will see what all the types were pointing to. On the sixth day God created man in His image and after His likeness. Listen now. Adventist: God did not create the man out of dust in that operation: He created that man by taking of His own self and separating Spirit, which is life, and imputed into that measure of His Spirit, all the attributes that were going to make that man a little offspring of His very own likeness, in conscience, wisdom and all the senses of see, hear, taste, smell and feel. That is how the man was in His Image and likeness, because the man was not given flesh and bones at that time. Now I will ask a simple question: What day was this man put on earth? He was not on earth in bodily form as a result of what God did on the sixth day. Just follow the scriptures: You do not have to take my word. When the sixth day was full, God looked upon His labors and said that everything He had created was very good. Then what does it say? God rested. The seventh creative day, God rested from all His works. This really makes the Bible talk to us, if we will let it, so I ask, Was man on earth then? He absolutely was not. He was still in the presence of God, because he was a spirit being, having no body. For a thousand years, God observed a Sabbath and rested. In other words, He could sit back (so to speak) and enjoy what He had created. Do you know what He was doing? He was watching everything come out of that old dark age, the Ice Age, as it came closer to the sun, and the glaciers began to melt, lakes began to form, rivers began to come forth. It became a little warmer and a little warmer over that period of time, and eventually grass came into view, then trees. Finally, at the end of His Sabbath, the earth was ready for habitation, so what does it say in Genesis 2? God said, There is not a man to till the earth. I would to God that some of these religionists today, these doctors of divinity that have starved their people to death, would pay attention to this verse. There was not a man to till the earth. God planted a garden eastward in Eden. A lot of religionists think that somewhere in the middle east, God put a little place with a wrought iron fence around it and planted a garden. You will never find that kind of picture over there. That little garden He planted, consisted of a little bit of heaven which He put over that geographical spot. Then out of the dust of the earth, He formed a vessel of clay for the man He had created one thousand years earlier, to dwell in on earth. The vessel of clay that God made was not made in the image of God, because He has no physical form! I did not have to go to some theological school of ignorance somewhere, and pay them a high price to teach me a lot of junk, before I knew that. I appreciate the way our heavenly Father reveals truth to those who will accept it. When God formed the vessel of clay for Adam to dwell in, He made it in the image of the animal kingdom. That is why the earthly-minded atheists today, look at the physical form and try to trace your descendants back through the line of genealogy and flesh that belongs to the animal kingdom. I am glad the monkeys will not accept us. When God breathed into his nostrils, which is a figure of speech, He imparted into that vessel of clay, the spirit man He made in His image and likeness. When He did, do you think Adam wondered, Where am I? Where did I come from? No. He knew exactly who he was. God did not have to tell him again, Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. Adam already had that in his conscience. Also, I am saying, God did not make a body for Adam until the eighth day, after He had observed His Sabbath. There was nothing moving about on earth until after God’s Sabbath. If there had been, then what was He doing, putting man over here, because He did not create Eden in the sixth day. Had you thought about that? He did not plant the garden on the sixth day. Neither did He plant the garden during His sabbath. He planted the garden in the beginning of the next one thousand years of time. The next one thousand years of time, we get the entire picture of Adam and all that went on in Eden, the sin, the seed of the serpent, and all of that. That is why, when God placed Adam in the garden and instructed him concerning the two trees, and said, The day that thou partakest of the tree of Knowledge, thou shalt surely die. Was God talking about a day of twenty four hours? No. He was talking about His dispensational day, a thousand years. When Adam and Eve partook of the fruit way back here in the beginning, Adam lived nine hundred and some years, just short of a thousand years, but still died in the same day he sinned in. I say these things to try to bring out this point, Christ rose on the first day of the week, and He was the beginning of the new creation of God, the firstborn, the firstfruits. With that in mind, let us come on down to the Church, because at the end of the fortieth day, Jesus took His disciples over on the Mt. of Olives and ascended into heaven. When He told them to go back into Jerusalem and tarry until they be endued with power form on high, it tells you that when the day of Pentecost came, and does not tell you they were there ten days, but when you know how many days Christ was seen of them before He ascended, that forty days plus ten more adds up to fifty days from His resurrection until the Holy Ghost came on the day of Pentecost, which was a feast day, and was on the fiftieth day of this whole cycle. Now we come to the 15th verse, and right there is where the Church was to be born. “And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; (All of that speaks of when Christ rose from the dead. He rose on the next day after the Sabbath in that season. Let me go back and read that again, And ye shall count unto you on the morrow, that is starting on the first day of the week, after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf, that types Christ, of the wave offering;) seven Sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow (That is the next day.) after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord. Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: (This is how the believer was to bring out of his house these little loaves of bread, but they had to have a little leaven in them.) they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the Lord.” If Christ was the firstfruits from the dead, and He is the firstborn from among many believers, this shows us that this is the day the Church was born, the fiftieth day, the day of Pentecost. Not on the Sabbath, but on the first day of the week. It fulfills all the types. Please Adventist: Wake up, because right there is where the disciples of old got their revelation. They did not make a law out of it, they did not need to. That is why Paul could write to the Corinthians, that upon the first day of week, let every man lay by himself in store, as the Lord has prospered him. In other words, let them take up your tithes and offerings. Not on the Sabbath, but upon the first day of the week. Then you ask the question, Why did Paul go to the synagogues on the Sabbath? Well if He was going to preach to the Jews first, like he always did, where do you think he was going to find them, if he did not go to the synagogues at a time when they were there? He is the one that always said the gospel is first to the Jew, and then to the Gentiles. When Jesus rose on the first day of the week, that was the eighth day in the order of the whole process. Fifty days later the Church was born. I am thankful, the word of God can talk to you, but we have to be able to see the types and shadows it contains. If we only live by the natural aspect of it, we are going to run with our nose. There is a commercial on TV, that most of you have probably seen. Two men that look like twin brothers, both wearing towels, because they have just come out of the shower. They look identical. They are both five foot nine and weigh so many pounds. They are walking down a long hallway, talking. (This is a commercial advertising Lipitor for cholesterol.) Both are walking along just talking away. One has low cholesterol, the other has high cholesterol. As they are walking along, talking, they look healthy, but all of a sudden there is a glass wall in front. The one hits it. That is the way some of these religionists are. They have high cholesterol spiritually speaking, and the denominations put it there. They need some religious Lipitor. That is what the religious world has done through time. Their people are sick, they are going to die if they do not get some help. My point is, Only truth can help them. Traditions only make the condition worse. How many can see why the early Christians choose the first day of the week for worshiping together? They did not make that a law, it is a revelation. That is exactly why years later, five hundred and some years later, when Catholicism began to come into force, they look back on the pattern of the early Christians. I can see why they take what was a revelation that brought them into fellowship, then they did make to the Roman system of that hour, a cardinal law. By then the Catholic Church was influencing the Roman society, which thought, We will honor and respect the Christian faith. Keep in mind though, the Christians of that hour were no longer the revelated ones that were in the first age. I hope you understand what I am saying. If we do not understand the types, and do not see the shadows, then we can stumble over an event, and if it is not the grace of God, we can be left on the outside, wondering what in the world happened. As I close, I again thank God for truth. I thank God for the Holy Ghost, that does not dwell in a building somewhere, with stained glass windows, and a beautifully constructed interior, but dwells in human vessels that are called lively stones in a great building of God, washed, purified, and put together by the revelation that early ministry had. They were the laborers on the temple’s foundation. As the apostle Paul would say, We are built upon a holy foundation of Jesus Christ, the chief corner stone. But the builders are the prophets and the apostles. You take that right into the book of Revelation, in chapter 21, when John was taken up into heaven and saw that new eternal city, and described it. Each gate had one of the names of the tribes of Israel. That shows all that points back to the Law Age, types and shadows. That typed salvation. But when the time came, then Jesus came fulfilling this, and now God starts building His true temple. When John looked at the foundation of that city’s walls, there, was the name of every one of the apostles. The walls are salvation. I pray that whatever I have said, helps you get a little picture. We no longer look to the Law for salvation. It is for the sinner out there, to enable him to measure himself with what God is after in those whom He calls. Look at the atheists, how they have taken away God’s natural laws that were put here by our founding fathers, in our institutions and in our schools, to warn the whole human element of society, Do not do this. It did keep America clean for many years, compared to other nations. It helped America as a nation, to be like no other nation ever was. It did not make Christians out of everyone that read them, but seeing the Ten Commandments posted, made a nation of people that were known the world over as a Christian nation. When they began to take God’s law out of their sight, it also took it out of their conscience. All this lets me know, when you see the hand of God lifting off of a nation, and the devil coming in, it will not be long until we see Jesus coming. May God bless you. Amen
