How The Angel Came To Me, And His Commission
Bro. Branham shares the testimony of how he was called to the ministry and the mission he was given to fulfill.
Rev. William Branham was born in 1909 in Burkseville, KY. As a boy, his family moved to southern Indiana where he grew up. Following his brother’s death in 1929, Bro. William Branham converted to Christianity. In 1933 he held a tent revival meeting in Jeffersonville, Indiana where a supernatural event occurred while he was baptizing, signifying his call of God.
Healing miracles began to occur in his ministry. In 1941 Georgia Carter in Milltown, Indiana was healed of tuberculosis which had kept her confined to bed for eight years. Stories of the healing were spread around the area, and by 1946 the great healing revival, led by Bro. William Branham, had began. He traveled the world preaching to crowds as large as 200,000 attendees. Many people were saved and many were healed. Hundreds of thousands of people were witnesses to the miracles.
Faith Assembly Church has had many eye witnesses of these events attend over the years, and many of them are still living. There are numerous testimonies of people in our own church who were healed by God through the ministry of Bro. William Branham.
Rev. Raymond Jackson, the founder of the church, was a close friend of Bro. Branham, and preached at the Branham Tabernacle multiple times while Bro. Branham was still living. Bro. Branham also came and ministered at Faith Assembly Church during the 1950s and 1960s. Bro. Jackson was one of the four ministers chosen to speak at Bro. Branham’s funeral in 1965.
Bro. Branham was a prophet sent from God to start a process of turning the church back to the faith of our fathers. (Malachi 4:5-6).
